David Livingston receives Nicsa 2022 Rising Star Award

We are proud to announce that Director of Compliance David Livingston was recognized as a 2022 Diversity Project North America Rising Star by Nicsa. Rising Stars are chosen based on their outstanding leadership abilities and commitment to creating more inclusive and diverse working environments.

“David demonstrates such a commitment to inclusion in our firm,” said Co-Chief People Officer Diane Gallagher. “He is quietly courageous, sharing his own experiences and advocating for change. I am proud to work with him.”

Nicsa is a not-for-profit trade association that connects the global asset management industry to develop, share, implement and advance leading practices to help firms adjust to the changing needs of their clients. Its Diversity Project North America provides mentorship, networking and career development opportunities to diverse, aspiring leaders in the industry.

David, who has been with the firm since 2011, plays an active role in our Pride BRG, which advocates to ensure LGBTQ employees feel safe, welcome and valued in the workplace. His work serving as co-chair of American Century’s AIDS Walk KC participation and as a Pride Month panelist exemplifies his commitment to fostering an accepting and inclusive working environment.

“I’m honored to represent American Century Investments as a Diversity Project North America 2022 Rising Star,” David said. “I truly believe creating an inclusive workplace for everyone leads to better business outcomes. To create that kind of environment, we must fully embrace a diverse work culture. As a leader, my goal is to help bring awareness and foster change in our industry by championing a welcoming workplace for all.”

Among other benefits, Rising Stars receive six months of coaching in a nationally recognized leadership development program, industry recognition, and access to Executive Roundtables.

Congratulations, David, for such a well-deserved honor!
