LGBTBE Certification

What is LGBTBE® certification?

The Mid-America LGBT Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) on the LGBT Business Enterprise (LGBTBE®) certification program. The NGLCC is the nation's only third-party certification body that verifies that eligible businesses are majority-owned by LGBT individuals, and subsequently grants LGBT Business Enterprise® (LGBTBE®) designation. Become a member of the Mid-America LGBT Chamber and your application fee is waived.

Why get certified?

Major U.S. corporations are increasingly demonstrating a commitment to completing the diversity supply chain by not only creating inclusive work environments and marketing to a broad, diverse consumer base but also by purchasing products and services directly from LGBTBE certified businesses.

By becoming a certified LGBTBE, business owners are able to build relationships with America’s leading corporations, generate prospective business and clients, and collectively team with each other for contracting opportunities.

Certified LGBTBEs are routinely sought after by NGLCC Corporate Partners and Chamber Corporate Partners who are looking to increase their purchasing within diverse communities.

LGBTBE Testimonials

LGBTQ Certification is the move for NextGen Entrepreneurs to thrive in a competitive business ecosystem.

-Cerice Hall

I thought certification as an LGBT BE wasn’t for me because I don’t sell to large corporations or government agencies. Then I learned that being certified provides access to hundreds of small and medium-sized businesses. Now I’m able to build business relationships with target market clients that share my values on LGBTQIA+ inclusion.
