Tell us a little about your business:

At Finnegan Tax & Accounting we believe that an accountant should be more than just another vendor. We are dedicated partners, committed to working in your best interest and ensuring your financial success.

As a small family-owned tax firm, we understand that every client is more than just one name on a list. Your growth is our growth, and your success is our success. With us, you’re not lost in the crowd of a big firm; You are valued and appreciated as a vital part of our extended family. Let us help you navigate the complexities of tax planning, accounting, and financial management - so you can focus on what matters most.

What's a recent success story or milestone you're proud of?

One recent milestone we’re really proud of is how much we’ve been able to stabilize and simplify the experience for our clients while growing the firm at the same time.

Over the past year, we’ve fully leaned into a more structured, modern workflow—bringing payroll into ADP, keeping bookkeeping clean in QuickBooks Online, and using our client portal to make document exchange and onboarding smoother and more secure. That shift has taken a lot of friction out of the process for both our team and our clients.

At the same time, we’ve continued to grow through word-of-mouth without traditional advertising, which is something we’re especially proud of. We’ve been able to take on more consistent monthly bookkeeping and payroll clients, while still keeping space for higher-touch tax strategy work—without losing the personal, family-run feel of the business.

But honestly, the biggest “win” has been hearing from clients who say things like, “this is the first time taxes haven’t felt stressful.” That’s the kind of feedback that tells us we’re building the right thing.

What do you love most about being part of this chamber?

What we value most about being part of the Chamber is the sense of connection and shared investment in local business. As a small, family-run firm, we don’t have a large marketing engine behind us—so relationships matter a lot. The Chamber gives us a way to stay rooted in the community, build trust with other local business owners, and stay visible in a way that feels genuine rather than transactional.

What would you like our chamber members to know about your business which isn’t necessarily obvious?

What we’d want Chamber members to know is that our work goes a lot deeper than tax preparation or payroll processing. On the surface, we’re an accounting firm—but in practice, we’re often acting as a steady operational partner for small business owners who are trying to keep everything organized, compliant, and sustainable while still growing.
