The Mid-America LGBT Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Mainstream Coalition and multiple other community organizations, are co-hosting a series of candidate forums for the upcoming November 2021 local elections.
The following is the list of candidate forums:
- Shawnee Mission School District Board of Education: Tuesday, September 21 at 6:00pm
- Blue Valley School District Board of Education: Tuesday, September 28 at 6:00pm
- Kansas City, KS, Public Schools Board of Education: Thursday, September 30 at 6:00pm
- Kansas City, KS, Board of Public Utilities: Thursday, October 7 at 6:00pm
- Johnson County WaterOne Board: Thursday, October 14 at 6:00pm
- Olathe School District Board of Education: Tuesday, October 19 at 6:00pm
All candidate forums will take place via Zoom and can be found on the Chamber's events calendar. We are proud to co-host these forums, allowing voters to educate themselves on the important issues to them before voting in November.
Other organizations co-hosting forums include the League of Women's Voters of Johnson County, Advocacy & Awareness Group of Johnson County, Climate Action KC, Northeast Johnson County Chamber, Dotte Votes, Safe & Welcoming Wyandotte and Servicing L.I.P.P.S.
