The Mid-America LGBT Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the addition of Vince Pugh as the new Membership Management and Engagement Coordinator. Pugh started his role with the Chamber on Monday, August 16.
Pugh (he/him) is an event planner with a passion for facilitating change through gathering.
"Vince is an outstanding addition to our Mid-America LGBT Chamber team. Vince's skills and passion for our mission placed him at the top of a list of over one hundred applicants," said Suzanne Wheeler, the Chamber's Executive Director. She added, "The addition of this position demonstrates our organization's commitment to the continued improvement of services and opportunities for members of our Chamber. Vince is the right person to help us rise to the next level. "
Vince has a background in event planning, marketing, and client management. He most recently worked as a meeting planner for NCM Associates, coordinating meetings throughout the country for the automotive industry. Vince has planned events from small, intimate weddings to large corporate functions.
“As the son of a funeral director and wedding planner, I learned at a very young age that every event has a purpose and I'm driven to find that in everything I do," says Pugh. "I am thrilled to join the chamber where my passion for the LGBT community meets my love for gathering. The chamber is doing incredible work for equality in the Kansas City area and I’m honored to be a part of that.”
Pugh was recently married to his husband David in May 2021. Pugh is a marathon runner, proud cat dad to Stevie and Real Housewives enthusiast.
