Nestled in the corner of Brookside and Troost we’ve built a space that feels as comfortable as your favorite neighborhood spot while still buzzing with the energy of a lively night out. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch, gathering with friends for happy hour, cheering for your favorite team, or settling in for dinner and a late-night cocktail, Gaels offers something everyone in KC can enjoy.

Our kitchen is dedicated to comfort food with a creative twist—think hearty classics, shareable favorites, and fresh flavors that pair perfectly with a cold pint or handcrafted cocktail. From our award-winning nachos and pizzas to savory entrées and seasonal specials, every plate is made to be enjoyed with joyful company.

Behind the bar, you’ll find a lineup that keeps the good times flowing. From crisp draft beers and craft brews to top-shelf whiskeys , margaritas, and playful cocktails, our drink menu is designed to match every mood. Daily specials keep things exciting, and our bartenders know how to shake up the night with just the right mix.

But what truly sets Gaels apart is the atmosphere. Our spacious dining room and expansive patio are built for gathering—whether it’s neighbors catching up over lunch, coworkers unwinding after a long day, or friends singing along at karaoke. What's a recent success story or milestone you're proud of?

In our 3rd year, Gaels Public House proudly celebrated a season of recognition, taking home multiple honors. From Kansas City Magazine, we were voted Best Sports Bar and Best LGBTQ+ Bar, and also this year we proudly received the Mid-America LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce’s Business Enterprise of the Year Award. These achievements are not just wins for our team, but also for the community that makes Gaels such a vibrant gathering place. We’re honored to be recognized for offering a space where everyone feels at home—whether they’re here to watch the big game, share a meal, or connect with friends.

What do you love most about being part of this Chamber?

At Gaels Public House, we love being part of the Mid-America LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce because it connects us with a network of inspiring businesses and leaders who share our values of inclusivity, community, and growth. The Chamber provides not only visibility and advocacy, but also a sense of belonging—reminding us that we’re part of something bigger than ourselves. Through events such as B2B’s, resources, and relationships, we’ve gained both support and opportunities that help us continue to thrive while giving back to the community we serve.

What would you like our Chamber members to know about your business which isn’t necessarily obvious?

While Gaels Public House is best known as a neighborhood bar and restaurant, what may not be obvious is how deeply committed we are to being a nationally recognized Safe Place and an affirming space for everyone. These efforts have been highlighted by the NGLCC, and Gaels is a proud recipient of the Community Impact Grant. From our staff to our guests, we work hard to ensure every person who walks through our doors feels welcomed, respected, and valued. Beyond game days, karaoke nights, and great food, our mission is to build community—creating connections that last long after the final round is served.
