Transformations in the Workplace 2026: Transcending Inclusion

221A9121-Enhanced-NR

Transformations in the Workplace 2026 delivered a powerful half-day of learning and dialogue centered on transcending inclusion. The day began with a thoughtful opening from Micha Mims of Valued LLC, setting the tone for reflection and growth.

Guests engaged in a group empathy simulation led by Jay Bohanon and Zach Rose-Heim, gaining hands-on experience in understanding diverse perspectives. They then heard from a dynamic panel of professionals on fostering belonging in the workplace and how it drives productivity. Panelists included Hailee Bland Walsh of City Gym, Leon Harden of Burns & McDonnell, and Robin Winner of Synergy Services.

The program concluded with actionable insights on HR practices and employee rights, presented by Vicki Webster of Becoming You Coaching and Ricky Walker of Burns & McDonnell.

Throughout the day, attendees had the chance to connect with peers over breakfast and lunch, exchanging ideas and learning from diverse perspectives across small business, non-profit, and corporate settings.

We are grateful to our sponsors for making this event possible: Presenting Sponsor Burns & McDonnell, Inclusion Sponsors Children’s Mercy and Evergy, and Equity Sponsor Synergy Services.

Transformations in the Workplace 2026 provided a meaningful space to learn, reflect, and take steps toward creating workplaces where everyone truly belongs.
