Tell us a little about your business?
Brightside Creative is a Kansas City–based branding and design studio that helps brilliant‑but‑busy founders and small teams show up with clarity and confidence.
Offering high‑impact brand strategy, copywriting, and custom websites, Brightside delivers through an efficient, collaborative process that cuts the fluff and gets results. Whether it’s a bold new brand launch, a messaging refresh, or a polished web presence, the studio helps good people do great work with brands that truly reflect who they are.
Co‑founded by Katie Koch and Jess Dyroff, Brightside blends editorial storytelling, smart design, and strategic thinking into every project. Its clients range from nonprofits to service providers—many of whom need a trusted creative partner but don’t have the time or team to do it all in‑house.
Brightside believes branding doesn’t have to be complicated. It just has to be smart. The studio’s signature Glow Up™ process ensures that every project starts with deep listening and ends with clear, compelling creative that actually moves the needle.
Brightside Creative is proud to be part of the Chamber community and always excited to connect with fellow members doing meaningful work across KC and beyond.
What's a recent success story or milestone you're proud of?
This past year has been a season of sharpening, growing, and deepening our impact. We’ve collaborated with an inspiring mix of clients—including dermatology practices, hospitality brands, national healthcare platforms, and boutique financial services firms—which has allowed us to evolve our offerings and stretch creatively in all the right ways.
Our reach has expanded beyond Kansas City, with projects for clients in Dallas, Arkansas, and other markets. At the same time, we’ve remained deeply connected to KC’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, where many of our most rewarding partnerships begin. These relationships continue to shape how we work, pushing us to stay curious and approach every project with purpose.
As Brightside moves into year three, we’re especially proud to be in a position to give back, offering nonprofit discounts and championing the organizations that make this city better. It feels like we’re exactly where we’re meant to be.
What do you love most about being part of this Chamber?
The Chamber community is full of smart, approachable people who want to see each other succeed. We’ve met so many people doing bold, meaningful work—leaders who care deeply about what they’re building and how they’re showing up for their communities. Some of our favorite connections and collaborations have come out of Chamber events, and the energy is always welcoming. It’s the kind of network where you can show up as yourself, and that makes all the difference.
What would you like our Chamber members to know about your business which isn’t necessarily obvious?
You can get a bold, strategic brand and website without spending months on it or committing to a long-term retainer. Our process is intentionally fast, focused, and collaborative. Most projects only require a few days of your time, and we take care of the rest. It’s a streamlined model that delivers high-impact creative without the overwhelm, so you can stay focused on running your business.
