TICO Productions is a multicultural media company based in Kansas City that connects organizations, brands, and communities through authentic storytelling, media production, and Spanish sports broadcasting. Our work focuses on helping organizations engage diverse, multicultural, and bilingual audiences, through high-quality content and culturally relevant experiences.
The company operates through two primary divisions: TICO Productions and TICO Sports. While each division provides distinct services, they often work together to deliver integrated media, marketing, and broadcast solutions.
TICO Productions is the creative and production division of the company. This team specializes in multimedia production, digital content, graphic design, video storytelling, event production, and bilingual marketing campaigns. TICO Productions works with businesses, nonprofits, sports organizations, and community groups to develop compelling visual and digital content that connects with diverse audiences. Whether producing promotional videos, live event coverage, marketing assets, or storytelling campaigns, the focus is always on authentic representation and effective communication.
TICO Sports is the sports broadcasting division, dedicated to delivering high-energy Spanish-language coverage of professional and collegiate sports. The division produces live play-by-play broadcasts, digital sports content, and fan engagement programming designed specifically for Spanish-speaking audiences. TICO Sports is widely known for its Spanish-language broadcasts of Kansas City professional teams, like the KC Chiefs and KC Current, along with other NFL, MSL, NWSL, and NBA teams, bringing the excitement of the game to Latino fans through the passionate and energetic style of Latin American sports commentary.
While the two divisions provide different services, they frequently collaborate on projects that combine production, marketing, and sports storytelling. For example, a sports partnership may include live game broadcasts through TICO Sports alongside digital video production, social media content, and promotional campaigns created by TICO Productions. This integrated approach allows partners to reach audiences across multiple platforms while maintaining a consistent and culturally authentic voice.
At the heart of the company’s work is a mission to build connections—between teams and fans, brands and communities, and organizations and the diverse audiences they serve. What's a recent success story or milestone you're proud of?
One milestone we’re particularly proud of is the continued growth of TICO Sports’ Spanish-language broadcasting partnerships with major Kansas City teams, including the Kansas City Chiefs and both Spanish and Portuguese broadcasting for the Kansas City Current. These broadcasts bring professional sports coverage to Spanish and Portuguese speaking fans locally and nationally, helping expand access and engagement for Latino audiences.
At the same time, TICO Productions has expanded its multimedia production and community storytelling work, collaborating with businesses, nonprofits, and organizations to produce bilingual media campaigns, digital content, and live events. Seeing both divisions grow while continuing to support each other’s work has been an exciting step forward for the company.

What we value most about being part of the Chamber is the opportunity to connect with organizations that are committed to strengthening the regional business community. The Chamber brings together leaders from across industries and creates meaningful opportunities for collaboration, learning, and partnership.
For our organization, it’s also an opportunity to highlight the importance of multicultural engagement and the role diverse communities play in the economic and cultural growth of Kansas City. Plus, they throw phenomenal events!
What would you like our Chamber members to know about your business which isn’t necessarily obvious?
TICO is home to approximately 30 dynamic broadcast professionals who deliver exceptional sports coverage and are dedicated to making the magic happen on game days and throughout the season. Our multilingual team brings Spanish and Portuguese expertise to every broadcast, ensuring inclusive, culturally authentic experiences for diverse audiences.
Many people know TICO for its sports broadcasts, but what’s not always obvious is that the company’s work goes far beyond game coverage. Through TICO Productions, we provide full-service multimedia production, marketing support, event coverage, and storytelling services for organizations looking to connect with diverse audiences. Because both divisions operate under the same company, we can combine broadcast, video production, digital media, and cultural insight to create integrated campaigns that reach audiences across multiple platforms.
