Located at 5507 Troost, MOC BOD provides a safe, welcoming for the LGBTQ+ community and allies to shop, hang out, and receive personal care services. In addition to the retail side, they currently house a barber/cosmetologist, two massage therapists, and a tailor.
Owner/founder Christy Vincent graduated with a degree in chemistry from UMKC in 2010 and finally put her degree to use, creating the MOC BOD body care line. The line consists of natural, gender-neutral body wash and lotion in four enticing scents, free of the harsh chemicals found in many body care products.
Co-owner Charlie Vincent brings expertise in HR, accounting, and project management to the table. Between the two, there's nothing they can't do!
The shop hosts a biweekly book club and regularly collaborates with the community to host small meetings, clothing swaps, toy and food drives, and more. MOC BOD frequently donates to both local and national nonprofits and meticulously sources their products from likeminded businesses.
